It’s the United Arab Emirates and Thailand’s turn to celebrate the opening of 2025

Thailand, the United Arab Emirates and Hong Kong joined other countries in welcoming 2025.

Previously, New Zealand became one of the first countries in the world to mark the beginning of 2025 with a fireworks display from the Auckland Sky Tower.

Two hours later, Australia joined the celebrations with its own spectacular performance from Sydney Harbor.

This was followed by celebrations in Japan, where people rang bells for 2025 at a temple in Tokyo.
