Jayda Cheaves & Dess Dior explain their financial dating preferences
Wallo and Gillie Tha King asked both women to explain why don’t they give someone who earns less than them a chance. Jayda started it after giving an emphatic refusal.
She started to say, “I feel like that’s one of the…” but Dess quickly jumped in and made her point.
“As a man, I feel like you should have more than me,” the ‘Bottega’ rapper said.
Her best friend, Cheaves, agreed and added, “Yeah, because dating someone who doesn’t have more money, they’ll try to make you feel less than them as a woman. That’s how I feel, really.”
She went on to explain that she knows women who are financially more dominant in their relationships and stressed that “Their boyfriends try to coddle them just to make them feel like they’re not that bitch.”
“I never wanted to be a part of that,” the Waydamin founder said. “But if I’m going to be in a relationship, I’d rather be with someone who can benefit me, than someone who is taking away from me and what I have going on. Because these men do not have the financial means that you have, they will try to make you feel that you are not HER. I’ve seen it all.”
In the background, Dess Dior seemed to agree with Jayda’s point as she repeatedly said, “Yeah.”
