Jennifer Lopez files for divorce from Ben Affleck
Roommates, it’s official: Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce Ben Affleck after two years of marriage. Moreover, the singer’s application was filed right on the second anniversary of their second wedding.

According to TMZLopez formally filed the documents in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Furthermore, the newspaper notes that unlike most filings—which are typically done by attorneys on behalf of clients—Lopez did this one himself.
To add to the surprise, the paper notes that Lopez’s filing today comes on the second anniversary of her and Ben’s second wedding. Page six note that the couple originally eloped to Las Vegas in July 2022. However, on August 20, 2022, the couple officially tied the knot with a wedding ceremony in Georgia.
Furthermore, each TMZLopez reportedly listed her and Affleck’s separation date as April 26, 2024. Additionally, the singer’s documents reportedly do not state whether she and Affleck have a prenuptial agreement. Sources reportedly told the outlet that no agreement was in place.
“That means any income or profits Ben and Jen earned during their nearly two years together are joint property,” the source said.
Final, TMZ noted that Lopez had allegedly waived his rights to spousal support and was reportedly asking the judge to “deny support to Ben.”

EQUAL Shade room Lopez previously announced her engagement to Affleck in April 2022. The couple reportedly rekindled their romance last year after dating and even getting engaged in the early 2000s.
Then, in July of that year, J. Lo confirmed that she and Affleck walked down the aisle together in a ceremony in Las Vegas, according to Shade room.
“We did it. Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years of patience,” she wrote in a newsletter reportedly sent to her fans at the time.
Back earlier this year, it was reported that Lopez and her husband were living apart. Shade roomHowever, in May, the couple were spotted together and this seemed to put to rest speculations of their impending split.
Later that month, Lopez even became famous for questioning a reporter who asked about the possibility of her and Affleck splitting, according to Shade room.
