JetBlue loyalty program, TrueBluetends to fly under the radar, as award redemptions are largely limited to flights operated by JetBlue and Hawaiian Airlines. However, that’s not necessarily a bad thing if JetBlue is your airline of choice, which has long been known for its customer-friendly, superior (and TPG Award) Mint Business Class and an extensive route network throughout the East Coast and Caribbean.

The JetBlue Plus Card currently offers a welcome bonus of 50,000 points after spending $1,000 on purchases and paying the annual fee in full within the first 90 days. Based on our June 2024 valuation 1.35 cents per point, equivalent to a value of $670. This isn’t the best deal we’ve seen on this card, but it’s not bad either.
In fact, the welcome bonus is worth a bit more as this card offers cash back on all bonus bookings, increasing your points even further.

Benefits of the JetBlue Plus card
In addition to the high return on spending at JetBlue, there’s a lot of value in the benefits the JetBlue Plus Card offers. While the perks mostly revolve around JetBlue, even occasional flyers can make the most of them:
- The first piece of checked baggage is free: Get your first checked bag free for you and up to three companions in the same booking when you purchase tickets with your card.
- 5,000 Point Anniversary Bonus: These points are worth around $68 according to our June 2024 report valuationSo without ever stepping foot on a JetBlue plane, you’ve already paid more than two-thirds of the card’s $99 annual fee.
- Save 50% on flights: Get 50% back on eligible purchases on JetBlue-operated flights, including alcoholic beverages and Eat Up snack boxes. This discount is applied automatically, typically on the day the charge is posted to your card account.
- Fast Track Mosaic Status: Receive automatically mosaic state after spending $50,000 with the card in a calendar year.
- 10% off reward flights: When you redeem TrueBlue points for JetBlue flights, you’ll earn 10% of those points once you take the flight — points that can be used toward your next redemption.

Earn Points on the JetBlue Plus Card
In terms of earning, this card outperforms most co-branded cards from other airlines and even some Earn transferable points. With this card, you’ll earn 6 points per dollar on JetBlue purchases, 2 points per dollar at restaurants and grocery stores, and 1 point per dollar on all other purchases. For comparison, the no-annual-fee version of this card offers half the points on JetBlue purchases.
It’s also worth noting that as a TrueBlue member, you’ll earn at least 2 base points per dollar spent on JetBlue flights booked directly in addition to the 6 points per dollar you earn through the card.

Redeem points on JetBlue Plus card
TrueBlue’s loyalty program is revenue-based, so redemptions are simple. You can redeem points for any seat, including JetBlue Mint seats, on any JetBlue flight across the airline’s network, and you get pretty consistent value for your points. The more cash a flight costs, the more points it costs, and vice versa.
