Joe Budden Clowns On Yung Miami’s Solo Career After The Kiki Sign

Joe says Yung Miami’s music can’t compare to her female rap peers

Joe Budden began his response by explaining that laughter is “a luxury” and “a privilege” and that Miami will “soon” realize that.

“While I’m glad Caresha can laugh after a difficult year, I’m a little surprised she still finds time to laugh…” Joe added that he wasn’t going to call Miami by her name or be disrespectful. Instead, he wanted to continue to compliment her solo music career, not her accomplishments as a city girl.

“If Complex did a list ranking all the female rappers, Caresha, you would be last on the list because your label is telling you they don’t see any growth these days,” Budden said. “Admittedly, the only talent you’ve had in recent years is emotional delivery, and you’re stuck. I’m not talking about the City Girls, I’m talking about you. And that’s my problem with modern, current acts and the caricatures you’re portraying. Like, I’m treating you like a science project…”

Again, Budden clarified that his comments were only about Miami, not the City Girls. “…and I sided with JT in the breakup,” Joey shared.

What happened between these two?

Budden’s Smoke for Miami in his latest podcast release comes after she caused a bit of controversy back and forth on X (formerly Twitter). Earlier this week, she responded to a video of him receiving a gold plaque for ‘Pump It Up’ with a laughing emoji. The honor comes 21 years after the song was released.

Regardless, Miami’s playful mood led Budden to imply that it would be “too easy” to make fun of the former City Girl. She clapped back, saying that she was laughing the same way he had laughed at her in the past, especially after she Emotional Debut ‘Caresha Please’. Swipe below to see summary.

Budden Stands By JT In Miami During City Girls Breakup

As mentioned in his Miami speech, Budden admitted that he supported JT during their breakup. He later praised her for her composure during her interview on his podcast, released late July.

“[JT] came here, hair flying. Like stop for a minute, I’m not stupid. I have to read between the lines of some social media. JT came here with shiny skin, shiny face, knee high boots with a cane that didn’t look cheap.

Budden added that JT went into the interview with “such language” along with her music going viral.

“And everyone here absolutely loves her. Here’s the thing: JT is truly the richest girl in the world… and when everything is against her, she still does it. She gets to work,” Budden said.

He added that she was 100% committed to “going back to the drawing board” and finding herself in her music. Budden went on to once again criticize Miami: “I don’t think Caresha has time to laugh when she seems to be going through an identity crisis.”

“I’m very familiar with bitches who think they’ve blossomed into the people they’ve consumed. You ran around here and you gave JT your ass to kiss. You sat there with Saucy Santana, who raps even better than your ass and gave JT your ass to kiss,” Joe added that Miami has abandoned City Girls and is talking bigger than it is.
