Joe Budden’s comments on domestic violence spark online debate


Is this a case of right message, wrong messenger – or the pot calling the kettle black? The internet seems to have had a field day after Joe Budden shared his perspective on his experiences in a relationship that turned violent. During a recent appearance on the podcast Fuel bagJoey touched on a number of topics. The most controversial was his view of domestic violence from a male perspective.

Here’s What Joe Budden Had to Say About Domestic Violence in a Relationship

In the clip, Joe shares some of his own past experiences, noting that women can also be abusive in relationships. He suggests that men don’t know they’re being abused. Budden details some of the incidents with ex-girlfriends, saying: “I had an incident where me and a woman broke up, and I got my phone back that I bought and I was actively paying the bill. The charges. The charges were made. I didn’t know that [was stealing] So that’s a lesson.” He continued:

“I have been in a domestic violence relationship, but we are men so we don’t know that.”

Joe never revealed who he was talking about in the clips. The video comes less than a month after he was called out by his ex-girlfriend Tahiry Jose. Tahiry didn’t like it when Joe weighed in on the viral video that showed Diddy attack his then-girlfriend, Cassie, at a hotel in Los Angeles.
