Kaiju No. 8 Part 2 announced in 2025
The highly anticipated Kaiju No. 8 Part 2 has been officially announced, scheduled for release in 2025. The announcement was made via the official Kaiju No. 8 Twitter account, featuring a promotional video (PV) showcasing scenes from the first part and confirming a sequel to the series.

In addition to the second season, PV also revealed that a new original episode titled Hoshina’s Day Off is in production. This episode will likely explore the daily life of vice captain Soshiro Hoshina. Furthermore, a first season compilation is also in production, allowing newcomers to revisit key moments from the first episodes before diving into the new season.
Kaiju no 8 anime is based on Naoya Matsumoto’s serialized manga in Shonen Jump, about a man named Kafka who has the ability to transform into a Kaiju. The first season of the anime began airing in April 2024 and ended on July 13, 2024.
In related news, Akatsuki Games and Toho announced Kaiju No. 8: The Gamea free-to-play adaptation of the anime and manga for mobile devices and PC. A release date has yet to be announced. The Kaiju No. 8 anime is currently available on Crunchyrolland the manga is published outside of Japan by Viz Media.
