Kamaitachi no Yoru x3 will include the first two games
Spike Chunsoft has announced that Kamaitachi no Yoru x3 will cover the main stories of the first two games. Additionally, the Switch version will feature an arranged soundtrack from the first game as an additional feature. [Thanks, Famitsu!]
Kamaitachi no Yoru x3 first came out in 2006, and the upcoming release on PS4, PC, and Switch will be a port of that. The third game (which concludes the series) will also feature a multi-character perspective, allowing you to see other perspectives in the story. The English version of The Legend of Kamaitachi To be The Banshee’s Last Cryand it’s a murder mystery novel. You can choose different dialogue options to continue the story. There aren’t many images or CG, with text on the background and silhouettes.
The first game takes place at a popular ski resort. While the guests have a great time, they discover a strange message predicting that someone will die at midnight. Then, in fact, someone does die. Unable to escape the ski resort and cut off from the outside world, the guests must find the culprit before they become victims themselves. The second game takes place on the island of Mikazuki-jima during the Meiji period. The characters from the first game are invited to the island, but once again, murders occur and they must find the culprit, along with other mysteries.
Kamaitachi no Yoru x3 will go out ABOVE September 19, 2024 for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC via Steam.
