A man hired by Trudy Fields to work on the property notified police about her remains on Oct. 9, according to Courier-Magazine.
Officials discovered the body behind the house, along with bloody items and drag marks in the grass when they arrived. The male maintenance worker told police he last saw Trudy on Tuesday (October 8) and he mentioned that her daughter Torilena May Fields allegedly “cast a spell on them and appeared confrontational” during his visit. Documents show that mother and daughter were believed to be the only people at home that day.
As the Courier-Journal reported, officials discovered that someone had removed multiple body parts from Trudy Fields, which they later found inside a mattress behind the house. While searching the kitchen, investigators also found a stainless steel pot containing human body parts that they believe someone had cooked inside the oven. They claimed the pot felt “warm to the touch” when they found it.
