Kodak Black Shares ‘Super Gremlin’ Lyrics He Regrets
Black Kodak is doubling down on his rehab efforts! Recently, the Florida rapper got candid with fans about the lyrics to his hit song ‘Super Gremlin’, which he no longer endorses.
For context, ‘Super Gremlin’ reached third place on Billboard’s Hot 100 in April 2022. A few months ago, in January, the song declared reached number one on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart. The song has reportedly been certified platinum, according to HipHopDX.
Now, more than two years later, he’s come clean about his reference to Percocet use in the three-minute track. The lyrics go like this: “I know the Perc is fake, but I still eat it / Because I’m an elf.”
Here’s What Kodak Black Says About ‘Super Gremlin’
In a video shared by X (formerly Twitter) account @omgmediaarchive, Kodak spoke directly to the audience about his change of heart. He admitted to having second thoughts when he first wrote the lyrics but continued.
“It was sad, though, because I was like, ‘That’s gonna stick in my head too fast,’” Black shared on the mic. “I was like, ‘Fuck, I don’t wanna say this, but I know this bitch is gonna do it, man.’ A n***a don’t play like that, man.”
He went on to admit that during the days he was taking the medication, he averaged “about 40 Percs a day” and sometimes up to 100. “If I had played with that fake thing, I’d be dead, man,” he added.
“I’m explaining myself now, I don’t want you all to hear that and take it for granted to do that, do you hear me? No,” he says at the end of the clip.

The Rapper’s previous comments about his drug use
Black Kodak talk about your previous use of Percocet in April via social media. At the time, he revealed that he had never felt “happier” after significantly reducing his drug use. Although he admits that he hasn’t yet come up against Perc, he said his low dosage was a surprise to himself.
