Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for Kyren Lacy, according to GAME. Police are charging the potential 2025 NFL draft pick who allegedly fled the scene without offering help. EVERYBODY identified the victim as Herman Hall, 78, a former Marine from Thibodaux, Louisiana.

State police reported that Kyren Lacy was driving a 2023 Dodge Charger at a high rate of speed on the Louisiana Expressway on December 17. They say Lacy “recklessly passed multiple vehicles, crossing the center line to enter northbound lane and entered the no-passing zone at an unsafe speed.” .”

Lacy was reportedly passing other vehicles when a northbound pickup truck suddenly braked and swerved to avoid a collision. According to ESPN, a 2017 Kia Cadenza was moving behind the pickup truck. The driver of the Cadenza swerved left to avoid Lacy in the Dodge Charger, who crossed the center line and collided head-on with a 2017 Kia Sorento traveling south. Herman Hall was a passenger in a southbound Kia Sorento and later died from injuries sustained in the crash. ESPN also reported that the driver of the Cadenza suffered moderate injuries. Furthermore, authorities claim that Lacy drove around the accident and left without stopping or reporting his involvement in the accident.

Kyren Lacy is facing charges of negligent homicide, felony hit-and-run and reckless operation of a vehicle, according to ESPN. Police are said to have contacted the footballer and his lawyer, urging him to surrender.

However, Lacy’s representative, Rock Arceneaux, said in a statement above X (formerly Twitter) that he was “fully cooperating with authorities.”

“We strongly believe that the facts will ultimately prove the truth, but we respect the need for a full and thorough investigation,” Arceneaux wrote in his statement.

Kyren released a statement after the incident
