In today’s press release, LG announced several additions to its UltraGear gaming line, including the world’s first bendable gaming monitor with 5K2K resolution.

The GX9 series includes three new models, but the most eye-catching is the bendable 990A — the winner of the three CES 2025 Innovation Awards, including “Best Innovation”. This isn’t the first bendable gaming monitor in existence – Corsair launched the Xeneon Flex in 2022 – but it is the first with a resolution of 5120 x 2160.

LG says the 45-inch display can go from completely flat to a 900R curve in seconds. 900R means that at its greatest curve, the screen is outside a circle with a radius of 90 cm. Essentially, it will make whatever you’re watching on it come to life much more vividly than a standard flat screen.
