LiAngelo Ball signs music deal with millions after ‘Tweaker’ (Report)


“I can deflect, bend that angle, Oh” has left TikTok users breathless over the past week. The trending audio clip is the opening of the aspiring rapper’s new song LiAngelo Ball. Now it looks like ‘Tweaker’ could be the key to helping Ball land a seven-figure record deal with Def Jam and Universal Music Group.

LiAngelo Ball reportedly made THIS MUCH in record deal

ESPN reporter Shams Charania shared news about the alleged record deal via X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, January 13. Charania revealed that sources valued the deal at $13 million, with $8 million in That number is guaranteed. Additionally, LiAngelo Ball will retain ownership of his music and label, which is Born To Ball Music Group, every genius. Also, Charania reports said LiAngelo has a second song to follow ‘Tweaker.’

Social media reacts to the alleged record deal

LiAngelo has made a drastic shift from professional basketball to music in recent months. He is the middle child of the Ball brothers, eldest brother Lonzo and youngest brother LaMelo. While both of his brothers were playing in the NBA, he was unable to maintain an active roster beyond short stints with the Pistons and Hornets and the Greensboro Swarm of the G League.

For context, ‘Tweaker’ dropped on January 3, and within five days it ranked in the top 10 for songs streamed on Spotify, according to ESPN. On the same platform, the song also has over 1.3 million streams.

In The Shade Room’s IG comments section, roommates chatted about the reported value of LiAngelo Ball’s deal. Mother of Ball’s son, Little Nikkiicommented, “Yesss so happy for my love.”
