Sanrio does uploaded Hello Kitty’s 50th anniversary and birthday playlist. It is available on Spotify and has a total of 41 songs in the playlist, clocking in at 2 hours and 15 minutes.
According to Sanrio’s Tweet, these are all familiar songs from the Hello Kitty series. Songs include “Popcorn!!” by MAISONdes, “Infinity” by JO1, “Live While We’re Young” by One Direction and “Houdini” by Dua Lipa. Some of these songs may be there because the artists are fans of the mascot or have mentioned her at some point.
In October 2024, Dua Lipa uploaded image of her wearing a Hello Kitty bra. Again in October 2024, JO1 attended Hello Kitty 50th Anniversary Part. During that time, Takumi Kawanshi and Junki Kono mentioned that they would love to collaborate with Hello Kitty someday. One Direction collaborated with Hello Kitty in 2013.
From November 2023Sanrio released merchandise to celebrate Hello Kitty’s 50th anniversary. Companies like Lotte, Casio, CliniqueAnd CASE also partnered with Sanrio to release commemorative merchandise featuring the famous mascot. There is also one event is going on at Hello Kitty Island Adventure Focus on her birthday. This event will last until November 15, 2024.
