Looking Back at the Anime Adaptations Coming to US Theaters


The Looking back cartoon based on Tatsuki Fujimoto Comics will be released in theaters in the United States on October 6–7, 2024, after an early release in select locations on October 4, 2024. It will follow a June 2024 debut in Japan.

Looking back is the story of two young girls who aspire to become mangaka and create their own original manga. The two meet while attending the same school. While Fujino is the more talented of the two, which makes Kyomoto feel complicated, the two eventually become attracted to each other and become close. The story follows their artistic development and relationship from elementary school to university, and the impact the two have on each other’s lives.

The GKids official website provides information on purchasing tickets for screenings. It appears that tickets are only available for screenings on October 6-7, 2024. Prices vary depending on the theater selected. The options displayed note that only the Japanese dub has English subtitles.

Looking back first appeared in manga form back to 2021before the one shot was adapted into a movie. This happened after other works by author Tatsuki Fujimoto Chainsaw Man And Fire Punch. As a the result of its successPhysical copies have been released.
