Mandarin Oriental expands presence in Paris and Amsterdam
Hong Kong-based Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is set to increase its presence in Europe.
The luxury hotel brand has additional plans Lutetia Hotel IN Paris and Conservatory hotel in Amsterdam to a network of super luxury hotels worldwide. Upon completion of the planned deal, Lutetia Hotel will be renamed Mandarin Oriental Lutetia, Paris. The Conservatorium Hotel, after extensive renovations, is expected to be renamed the Mandarin Oriental Conservatory, Amsterdam, in January 2026.
“Mandarin Oriental is focused on becoming a global leader in luxury hotels,” Laurent Kleitman, group chief executive officer of Mandarin Oriental, said in a statement. “These new long-term management agreements with two major European heritage hotels are core to our strategy to expand and strengthen our brand presence in destinations around the world that appeal to our fans. tomb.”

The Lutetia Hotel, dating from the early 1900s, is located on the Left Bank and has Mandarin connections. Architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, who designed the Mandarin Oriental Paris, also designed the Lutetia Hotel, a four-year renovation worth more than $200 million, completed in 2018. The Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam first opened in 2011 and is famous for its modern accommodations in a historic building that was once a bank and then a conservatory. The hotel has 129 guest rooms and suites and is located in the heart of the Dutch capital, close to the Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum.
Mandarin Oriental intends to maintain the “unique character and local cultural essence” of both locations. The two hotels share the same owner – Locka Holding BV – and are both members of Set Collection.
Kleitman added: “Similarly, adding the Conservatorium Hotel to our portfolio will bring a new dimension to our presence across Europe’s leading capitals, where we I have become adept at providing world-class service in cities that value luxury and heritage.”
News of the expansion comes days after Mandarin Oriental leaders also announced expansion plans expanding the brand’s ultra-luxury vacation rental offeringsproving that this luxury company clearly has ambitions in offering a wide variety of products to customers around the world.
