Mark Zuckerberg and Donald Trump enjoy Thanksgiving Eve dinner together — months after the president-elect threatened to jail the Meta boss



Donald Trump threatened to send Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg to prison “for life” if he interfered in the election just a few months ago — but come Thanksgiving, bad blood appears to be water under the bridge.

In fact, the President-elect and Big Tech businessman enjoyed a pre-Thanksgiving dinner in Florida this week.

The meeting between the pair on Wednesday night was first reported by New York Times but has been confirmed by Meta.

The duo and their group sat down at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort, with Meta speaking to NYT: “This is a pivotal moment for the future of American innovation.

“Mark is grateful for the invitation to dinner with President Trump and the opportunity to meet with members of his team about the incoming administration.”

Meta did not immediately respond luck request comment.

Of course, Zuckerberg wasn’t the only billionaire guest welcomed at Mar-a-Lago—Tesla CEO Elon Musk is becoming a normal person.

Musk and Trump’s relationship exists become increasingly close since the former endorsed the latter in the presidential election and plow hundreds of millions of dollars into your campaign.

Trump’s previous prison threat to Zuckerberg

In his book Save America, Trump writes Zuckerberg “would take his very nice wife out to dinner, as nice as anyone could be, all the while plotting to install embarrassing Lock Boxes in a real plot resistance to the president.”

The mention of “Lockbox” appears to refer to a $420 million donation that Zuckerberg’s charitable foundation made to fund election infrastructure in 2020.

At the time, critics—including then-President Trump-unfounded declare the amount spent so that then-Democratic candidate Joe Biden was elected.

Indeed, a UCLA study published in May found that the billionaire’s fund—nicknamed “Zuckerbucks” by critics—“does not significantly improve the performance of Democratic candidates.”

In August, Zuckerberg asked for further clarification.

In an open letter to Republican Rep. Jim Jordan, Zuckerberg said the donations were designed to be nonpartisan and spread across a variety of urban and rural communities.

“We are watching him closely,” Trump adds in the book, “and if he does anything illegal this time, he will spend the rest of his life in prison — as will Fraudsters in the 2024 Presidential Election.”

Trump previously said the same in July.

Writes on his social media platformsTruth Social, the Republican candidate said: “All I can say is that if I am elected President, we will go after Election Fraudsters at a level never seen before, and they will be sent to prison for a long time. We already know who you are. DON’T DO IT! ZUCKERBACKS, be careful!”

Zuckerberg and the 2024 election

However, he praised Trump’s response to the assassination attempt at one of his campaign rallies in July.

Zuckerberg said Bloomberg’s Emily Chang later that month: “On some level as an American, it’s hard not to feel moved by that spirit and that war. And I think that’s why so many people like this guy.”

The businessman then congratulated the President-elect on his successful campaign to win the White House, write on your application: “Congratulations President Trump on his decisive victory. We have great opportunities ahead of us as a nation. Looking forward to working with you and your administration.”
