Marriott and Blade Team Up to Offer Complimentary Helicopter Rides When Booking a Luxury Suite in NYC
Marriott’s Luxury Group hotels want travelers New York City to come and go in style this summer—and I mean a helicopter ride over the city’s breathtaking skyline.
Luxury Group — which includes brands like Edition, Ritz-Carlton, W Hotels, JW Marriott and Luxury Collection — is partnering with Blade, a helicopter transportation company, to offers eligible guests who book rooms at select Luxury Group hotels in New York complimentary round-trip helicopter transfers from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) or Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) between now and September 2.

To qualify for the helicopter ride, which can take as little as five minutes (compared to more than an hour or more in traffic), guests must book a minimum of two nights in select suites at one of the following hotels:
For flights, guests will also be transported by car from the hotel to the Blade Lounge, where the helicopters depart—on East 34th Street or West 30th Street. Marriott’s Luxury Group is infusing the spirit of the hotels at both lounges with the Edition’s signature Le Labo scent, music curated by W Hotels, souvenirs to take home, travel guides highlighting Luxury Collection hotels, and more.

Also at Blade Lounge West, Luxury Group will have an on-site bar throughout the summer serving drinks inspired by the hotel’s brands, like the St. Regis bloody mary and the W’s signature Paloma. The lounge will feature an exclusive JW Garden that will provide fresh garnishes for cocktails. The “Drink by Destination” mixology experience will be open from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday the week of July 1 and Thursdays and Fridays throughout the summer.
But even if you don’t book a suite with Blade’s complimentary shuttle service, all guests at participating hotels, regardless of room type, can take advantage of Blade’s preferential rates when staying at a Luxury Group hotel.
