As we approach the planet, we see that it constantly changes color, and it turns out that this is not at all beneficial to Samus, who The ship was caught in a storm cloud and struck by lightning.. She landed safely anyway (about as safe as crashing through a roof).

Not long now Samus encounters a terrifying doppelganger called Dark Samus. (Spoiler alert, this is the one we saw at the end of the first game, which is essentially Metroid Prime, albeit with a very similar appearance to Samus.)

Samus eventually found herself hurtling through a portal. into the Dark Aether, a parallel world inhabited by a dangerous race called the Ing. She was attacked.but she almost escaped, though lost most of his ability.

Samus soon realized another race called the Luminoth (whose appearance bears a slight resemblance to the Chozo) and after encountering their leader, U-Mos, learn that a meteorite collision has caused a spatial rift on the planet Aether. She works with U-Mos to enter the Heavenly Temple, the Dark Aether’s parallel to the Great Temple. There, She confronts and defeats Emperor Ing.thus completing his mission and initiating the destruction of the Dark Aether.

However, that hateful bastard Dark Samus prevents Samus from escaping returns to the Aether, and here Samus learns its true identity as its face resembles the core of the Metroid race.

Samus and Dark Samus face offwith the front side winning. Samus escapes as soon as the Dark Aether collapsed, and when she returned to the Aether, she witnessed the revival of the Luminoth race. Samus, along with three other bounty hunters named Gandrayda, Ghor, and Rundas, are summoned by the Galactic Federation to repair organic supercomputers called Aurora Units. However, those red people Space pirates attack a nearby planet called Norion and so the bounty hunters were forced to launch a counterattack.

During the attack, Meta Ridley — the villain we thought we defeated in the first game — returns and attack samus. Rundas saves our bounty hunter as Meta Ridley falls to her apparent death (YesThat’s right).

Then Research team discovered a meteorite with phazon called Leviathan rush towards the planet. As they raced to activate their defense mechanisms, none other than Dark Samus returns with revenge. Dark Samus knocks all the bounty hunters except Samus unconscious, then Samus can activate the defense laser in a split second, destroy leviathan.

About a month later, we learned that Samus is slowly being corrupted by Phazon.and so the Federation grants her a new suit that allows her to control Phazon (to a certain extent). She learns that Other bounty hunters had previously departed to planets where Leviathan activity was observed. But the Federation has lost contact with them since then.

Samus leaves to stop more Leviathans from causing a huge riot, but in doing so, She faces her once friendly bounty hunter friends.who is now corrupted by Phazon to the point of becoming enemies.

She eventually arrives at the Space Pirate Homeworld, which is heavily infested with Phazon. Here, Samus meets Ridley againbut this creature has now been enhanced by Phazon and is thus known as Omega Ridley (like the original Omega Pirate in the first game). Samus defeats Omega Ridleyhowever, of course she did

Final, Samus heads to planet Phaazediscovered to be the source of Phazon and Leviathans. Upon arrival, she began absorbing dangerous amounts of Phazon, but was able to lessen the effects by locking herself into permanent Hypermode. She eventually discovered Dark Samus, who proceeded to fuse with a stolen Aurora Unit linked to Phaaze’s core.

And so it begins The ultimate battle between Samus and Dark SamusWith a resounding victory, she purifies Phazon within her body and causes Phaaze to self-destruct. She tried to escape and take a moment to remember our fallen comrades. After venturing deep into space, we see a mysterious warship According to Samus. Sylux is back.

Federation Force does not feature Samus as the main character, but rather a team of Federation soldiers equipped with mechanical suits based on Samus’ Power Suit.

After the events of Corruption, The destruction of Phaaze and the subsequent obliteration of Phazon greatly weakened the Space Pirates.and so the Federal Forces began their mission to completely destroy them.

Samus is hired to effectively gather information for the Federal Forces and discovered a giant warship known as Doomseye, controlled by an entity known as the Master Brain.

The Force loses contact with Samus and later discovers that she has been captured by Space Pirates, who force her to fight against the Federation Force. She is defeated and then buried under rubble, but when Federation Forces vs Master BrainSamus returns to assist and she proves to be key in defeating Master Brain.

After completing the game, Sylux is seen infiltrating the Galactic Federation. to find Metroid Eggs. The egg hatches into a Metroid Infant as Sylux looks on. This little bit of information could be crucial to understanding why Slyux was escorted by Metroids in the Prime 4 trailer, although it’s also believed that these creatures could be ‘Mochtroids’, creatures that originated as part of a Space Pirate’s plan to clone Metroids.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to play every Metroid Prime game to understand Metroid Prime 4: Beyond?

That remains to be seen, although we suspect that given the amount of time since Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Nintendo will want the fourth mainline game to be as accessible as possible. Corruption tied up a lot of loose ends pretty well, so there’s a good chance Beyond could introduce a completely new storyline that’s not tied to the plot of the previous games.

You will not demand played the previous games, but obviously you will appreciate the storyline more if you play.

Will Dark Samus appear in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond?

Maybe. After all, Metroid Prime is a major villain, so it makes sense that the fourth game in the series would feature the creature in some form. It’s unclear at this point whether it will appear as Dark Samus, but it would be cool to see it again.

Does Phazon play any role in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond?

Honestly, we think the entire Phazon storyline is over at this point. Even if Metroid Prime does return, we doubt it will be based on Phazon at all.

The destruction of the planet Phaaze in Corruption caused Phazon to become extinct, so we’d be surprised to see it return. However, there are rumors that Beyond might solve the problem of time travel, so who knows?

Should I play the games first to understand Sylux’s role?

Honestly, no. Everything you need to know about Sylux is in this article or in previous post delve into the character. Its role in Hunters is quite significant, but its appearances in Corruption and Federation Force are only brief cameos.
