MySims Cozy Bundle has received a transformational update, new features coming “early next year”
MySims made a surprise return to the Switch last month with EA releasing ‘Cozy package‘ and the game is still receiving some post-launch support.
In the official update, the development team revealed how they are fixing bugs and implementing new features to the game, including “new teleportation interactions.” Here’s the full list of Version 1.2, which rolled out last week:

New features:
- New “teleport” interaction shows when NPCs get stuck while finding their way in MySims: Kingdom. This will teleport the NPC to a safe place so they can try to find their way again
- If the player has placed items anywhere on the island that blocks the Sim’s intended path, they can still become trapped. NPCs won’t approach what’s blocking their path, so check all your buildings for things Sims can’t get through (conveyor belts, fences, hedges, and decorative items can sometimes be the culprit!).
- Pointer Speed slider added to the Options menu to adjust its sensitivity
- Increased the limit of items placed in MySims by 50%, for exteriors, furniture, and interiors!
Fixed:
- Randomizing in CAS will not randomize skin tones in MySims
- Unintended duplication of certain NPCs
- NPCs’ voices change pitch the second you talk to them
- NPCs whose mission is to chase may become trapped. Now, they will reset to their original position after leaving the island
- Resolved an issue where players could not name their Sim “Sam”
- Resolved an issue in MySims where you could get stuck while fishing with no way to escape.
- Minor performance issues and memory leaks
The team also outlined how “more updates will be available” early next year. This will include new features as well as address “top community concerns”:

- Ability to turn off auto-rotate camera feature, assisting players with motion sickness
Top community concerns that we are currently investigating and aim to address in a future patch:
- Some NPCs cannot attain Best Friend Status in the Realm
- Zoom in/out with touch screen issues
- Buddy can have a virtual quest in MySims: Kingdom
- Randomizing in CAS will not randomize skin tones in MySims: Kingdom
- Player Sims can have invisible objects if pressing buttons too quickly
- The dragon costume head on Trevor Island has an incorrect texture
- PC-exclusive NPCs appear T-Posing in the Quests menu
- Bunnies can get stuck during the herding mission on Trevor Island and their location will not be reset after leaving the Island in the Kingdom
- There is only one song that plays when next to a house in the Kingdom; or from radio in MySims
- After exiting Fishing, Sim will automatically re-enter Fishing so you must cancel again
The team noted that they were unable to address “all concerns” due to the game’s age (currently 17 years old) – meaning the title “cannot be modified” due to “hardcoded elements”. old based on another console”.
Having said this, the team is still “working hard to resolve” any issues and improve the overall stability of the game.
