New anime adaptation of Ranma 1/2 has been confirmed
A brand new anime adaptation of Ranma 1/2 has been confirmed. This exciting announcement was made on the official Twitter page of the original author, Rumiko Takahashi, marking the first new launch. Ranma 1/2 anime for 14 years since the 2010 OVA.

The announcement on twitter said: “A brand new anime by Ranma 1/2 going into production!” Besides, one Official twitter account give Ranma 1/2 anime has been released, further confirming production. It was also announced that more details will be revealed in a special event on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 6:00 pm JST. The event will be livestreamed on the official twitter account.
Ranma 1/2 is a romantic comedy about Ranma Saotome, a high school student who turns into a woman when doused with cold water, and his fiancee, Akane Tendo. The film follows their daily lives as well as the humorous and dramatic events that follow. Originally published in Shogakukan’s Shonen Sunday Comics magazine, Ranma 1/2 watched various adaptations, including the animated series, OVAs, and live-action television series.
The Ranma 1/2 Movie and Ova Collection is available now through Viz Media. Anime is streaming online Hulu. Viz Media handles manga outside of Japan.
