New Hyatt Hotel in Santa Monica Opens Near Famous Pier and Beach
Few places on the West Coast evoke the California beach vibe like Santa Monica, known for its crowded pier, bustling shopping streets and stunning ocean views.
Santa Monica has been experiencing a bit of a hotel shake-up lately, with a slew of exciting new hotels opening from upscale brands like Regent and Marriott’s independent Autograph Collection.
But now, the former Le Meridien Delfina Santa Monica has been renamed Hyatt Centric Delfina Santa Monica and rooms can be booked with World of Hyatt point.

Even better for those looking for an affordable trip to the beach, the hotel will undergo a $16 million, phased renovation (during which it will remain open) of its 315 rooms, lobby, and thousands of square feet of meeting space this fall. Plus, the hotel will debut new dining and bar experiences.
The hotel also has an outdoor swimming pool for guests to enjoy as well as a fitness center.
In terms of booking, cash prices start at around $300 a night, while this Category 6 World of Hyatt hotel can be booked starting at 21,000 points a night. Currently, the hotel is offering 15% off with the code “15OFF” or 17% off for World of Hyatt members using the code “MBRS15.” The discounts are valid through October 31.
The rebrand marks Hyatt’s first hotel in Santa Monica, although the company has a presence throughout Los Angeles with hotels like the Thompson Hollywood, Andaz West Hollywood and The Shay in Culver City, among others.
Setting up shop in Santa Monica is a smart move for any hotel brand today, as some of the most exciting hotel projects in the country draw many visitors to keep an eye on the area’s development.
