Introducing “Future People”

Unbeatable: New Songs and Detailed PS5 RPG Gameplay for Rhythm-Based Anime Adventure

How do we come up with new songs like this? Well, the best thing to do is ask Clara Maddux, one half of the band Peak Divide, who provided all the music for the game.

Has anyone seen Clara?

Oh, there she is!

“Hi!! I’m Clara! I’ve been focusing a lot on composing the music for Unbeatable. Since the music for the game is so closely tied to the story, the sound team has been working hard to mine as many emotions as possible from our collective musical brains to complement it.

For me personally, I try to find something in my life that parallels the rhythm of the story I’m writing the song for. Most of my thinking before a song takes shape is really just figuring out what that connection is, but once I can visualize it in my head, it’s much easier to relate to a character and tap into what they might be feeling.

Sometimes I even just do a song to process the emotion and then suddenly, oh, it’s an Unbeatable song because we found a way to tie it into the story. Hopefully that just means the songs make more sense!!”

See! Clara knows about this.

Regardless, Unbeatable isn’t all about speeding up and smashing tracks—it’s about getting yourself into a rhythm. New track “Future People” proves that, flipping the script with a slower, more melodic tune that expands on the game’s already-great soundtrack. Not only is this track versatile—it’s a curveball that forces you to rethink your rhythm game strategy. Who says rhythm games have to be all speed and no soul? With “Future People,” it’s all about getting into the groove, savoring every note, and owning the moment.

That doesn’t mean you can’t increase the difficulty, though, increasing the difficulty will keep you focused (and maybe make you sweat).

Just remember, playing on normal mode is perfectly fine, we’re not here to judge, we’re here to make you shake your head and make you feel something

The world vibrates to the beat

In Unbeatable, music isn’t just the soundtrack—it’s the lifeblood of the world. As Beat, the game’s restless protagonist, you don’t just move through a city—you’re in complete harmony, as every step is synchronized to an unspoken rhythm that defies the silence imposed by the fun-free regime. The world around you doesn’t just resonate with the beat; it propels you forward, like a rebellious marching band that refuses to be silenced.

Feel the beat

Adaptive triggers also appear in some mini-games, to really make you feel like you’re sticking it to the man. Or the wall, like when you’re sticking a poster to the wall, specifically.

Of course this is just a glimpse of what we have in store for Unbeatable, so stay tuned for more exciting news.

Unbeatable will launch on PS5 in 2025.
