New TMNT: Mutants Unleashed Gameplay Trailer Is Packed With Intense Brawls

Despite being on our radar since its announcement last year, we’ve seen very little Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Mutant Turtles Are Unleashedupcoming 3D platformer/combat game from developer A Heartful of Games and publisher Outright Games. Until today! A brand new gameplay trailer has debuted to kick some shells and things are still looking pretty good.

Build on First glimpse of gameplay We got it back in July, but today’s new footage begins to introduce us to the game’s plot (narrated by April O’Neil). A group of evil mutants are hiding out — in a Turtles game? What are the odds? — and it’s up to the heroes in the half-shells to destroy them. We can expect a lot of combat and some basic platforming challenges too, in both single-player and co-op modes.

All of this comes right after the awesome event of 2023. Mutant Chaos The film, which uses the same “3D meets 2D” art style that really made the film stand out, and brings back the four main voice actors with some new dialogue.

We have to say, again, it’s not all bad. Sure, some of the eye animations are a little dead in the odd sequence, but the combat looks fun enough and the visuals fit the gameplay a lot better than we expected. Let’s hope things go smoothly on Switch when it launches on October 18

Earlier this year, Outright Games revealed Mutants Unleashed Physical Collector’s EditionContains a large amount of Turtles products but comes with a large amount of £219.99 / €249.99 / $199.99 price. Yeah, we were pretty shocked too.

This will be the third TMNT to land on Switch this year following the brutal arcade brawler Rage of the Mutants and quite fun Hell-alike Broken fateThe more the merrier, right?
