New trailer and voice actors for Rose of Versailles anime revealed
Latest trailer of the Rose of Versailles anime focuses on Oscar Francois de Jarjayes. This is one of the main characters of the series and perhaps the most iconic. MAPPA also announced six new voice actors the Rose of Versailles cast. [Thanks, Comic Natalie!]

The trailer has English and Japanese subtitles. Over the course of a minute, we get to see Oscar’s past and struggles, as well as how she chose to face civilians during the French Revolution. As a reminder, veteran voice actress Miyuki Sawashiro (Kurapika in Hunter x hunter (2011) among many others) voices Oscar in the film adaptation of the book. Rose of Versailles.
These are the new voice actors that will appear in the series Rose of Versailles cartoon:
- Colonel d’Agout: Jin Yamanoi (Rolento in Ultra Street Fighter IV)
- General Bouille: Akio Otsuka (Solid Snake, Naked Snake, Solidus Snake, Clear Viper Metal gears series)
- Louis XV: Hochu Otsuka (Xigbar in Kingdom of hearts)
- Jadame Jarjayes: Sumi Shimamoto (Yukiko Kudo in Famous detective Conan)
- Mrs. Noailles: Fumi Hirano (Lum in Urusei Yatsura (1981))
- Robespierre: Kensho Ono (Akutagawa in Bungo the Stray Dog)
- Rosalie: Saori Hayami (Yor in Spy x Family)
Rose of Versailles is one Comics have great influence lasted from 1972 to 1973. It is a historical drama set both before and during the French Revolution. Oscar is one of the main characters along with Marie Antoinette. MAPPA first announced that they would be adapting the series into an anime in September. 2022.
Rose of Versailles will air in Japan on January 31, 2025.
