New voice actor for Amuro in Detective Conan revealed
Takeshi Kusao is the new voice actor for Tooru Amuro Famous detective Conan. His previous voice actor, Tooru Furuya, withdrew from the role in June 2024 after a major adultery scandal. [Thanks, Oricon!]
Amuro appeared in the latest episode of the movie Famous detective Conan“Kaitou Kid and the Crown Trick”, that’s how fans know that Kusao has replaced Furuya. His name also appears in the credits. According to netizens, Kusao’s acting is similar to Furuya and is very suitable for the role.
Takeshi Kusao is a veteran voice actor under Aoni Production, the company Furuya used to work for. Kusao debuted in 1987 and some of his most famous roles include:
