Nintendo Switch Online 7-day free trial now available (US)
If you’d like to try out the Switch Online service but don’t want to pay a monthly subscription fee, Nintendo is currently offering Switch users a 7-day free trial.
This allows you to “retry the benefits” of this membership, even if you’ve tried it before. This will give you access to the base tier, which comes with the NES, Super Nintendo, and Game Boy libraries. According to Nintendo’s notes, this gives you access to “100+ classics.”
You’ll also be able to access online multiplayer, Nintendo’s cloud save service, use the smartphone app, and even take advantage of some special offers. This trial will convert to a regular paid subscription after this period and doesn’t include access to the Expansion Pack, which includes additional game libraries.
Nintendo has been steadily expanding its Switch Online service since its launch. They recently added five Giant man Game Boy titles, you can read more about in our previous article here on Nintendo Life. If we hear of any similar deals in other regions, we’ll let you know.
