Nu Gundam Metal Structure action figure will have interchangeable parts
Bandai Soul disclosure a new replacement parts set for Amuro Ray’s RX-93 Nu Gundam Metal Structure action figure. The new parts set will be released in Japan in January 2025. The set will also be sold in the United States and other Asia Pacific countries. [Thanks, Hobby Watch!]
One of the highlights of this pack will be a new backpack containing a pair of large beam sabers and multiple red Incoms. The latter are wired remote-controlled weapons that allow regular pilots to fire from multiple directions, as the more famous Funnels and Bits are only compatible with Newtype pilots who possess telepathic abilities. The pack will also include miniature figures of characters closely related to Mobile Suits, such as Amuro Ray and Chan Agi.

The set will cost 46,200 yen (~$308), but it will only include the bonus parts above. The actual Nu Gundam metal structure is already available for purchase. since 2019. Bandai Spirits has re-released its iconic Fin Funnels action figure in March 2024 for a whopping 140,800 yen (~$938.60).
Nu Gundam, piloted by Amuro Ray in the 1988 movie Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattackhas received many more replacement weapons outside of the show. Another example of this is the Long Range Fin Funnel that appears on life-size statue in Fukuoka, as the original Fin Funnels would have been difficult to use given the statue’s weight balance. Bandai Namco has since brought the weapon to Robot game like Combat Campaign 2 And Gundam Breaker 4.
