Officially, the Nintendo Museum will open in October 2024

I hope they have a full Nintendo Direct exhibit that highlights Mr. Iwata and some of his memorabilia like the L hat he wore during the Year of the Luigi Direct in 2013. Iwata’s legacy deserves to be preserved forever. Just give me a room full of Nintendo Direct memorabilia and other products that appeared in Nintendo promotional videos like Nonspecific Action Figures, lol.

Maybe there could even be a photo gallery of a group of Nintendo’s senior staff – like when you go into a hospital and they have all the doctors’ pictures framed on the wall. It could be a good way to introduce us to new employees we’re not too familiar with. Maybe each person could have a little plaque explaining their contributions to the company.

I don’t know if this is actually a Japanese thing, but a room where you could flip through an entire collection of old Nintendo Power magazines would be cool. They probably have all the copies in a closed display case, but they have a big interactive display where you can see high-resolution scans of every page of every issue, organized by month.

One thing they didn’t include that I felt was a MUST have was prototype hardware designs as well as a section dedicated to concept drawings and other beta elements that were scrapped for one reason or another.

The more I think about it, the more my mind spins with other ideas they could do. They could salvage some of their old E3 displays to put in the museum, like BotW, Luigi’s Mansion 3, and Smash Ultimate, as well as the Animal Crossing display they had at PAX that year.

Maybe they could even host a bedroom expo where you and your partner can enjoy a magical stay at one of their love hotels– **shot**
