Points Camping: Under Canvas is now available at World of Hyatt
Hyatt wants to take you on a luxury camping adventure—almost like a safari.
As of Thursday, camping company Under Canvas officially became part of World of Hyatt thanks to Hyatt’s partnership with Mr & Mrs SmithUnder Canvas has campsites across the country, from Acadia National Park to Moab, Utah.
Currently, World of Hyatt Member Points can be earned and redeemed for nature-immersed stays at 13 outdoor-focused locations across the U.S., with stays open for seasonal camps through 2025.
World of Hyatt members will receive the following, according to statement from the program:
- 5 basis points for every $1 spent on room rates
- Qualifying Night for each qualifying night at Under Canvas Resorts and Ulum Moab
- Same benefits as at Mr & Mrs Smith Hotel
Meanwhile, those who carry World of Hyatt Credit Card Earn 4 bonus points for every $1 spent on room rates when booking through the World of Hyatt channel.

TPG compared conversion rates for various dates and most fell below our July 2024 level valuation 1.7 cents per Hyatt point. So while this may not be the most valuable use of points, it could be a big win for Hyatt loyalists looking to get closer to some of the most beautiful parks and natural wonders in the US.
A quick search of Under Canvas Great Smoky Mountains shows that mid-August lodging is 16,250 points per night for a basic safari tent. Mid-June 2025 lodging is 17,750 points per night.
