Would you believe us if we said that Rare illustration cool again? We say that almost all the time, but hey, it’s still true. This art takes the kind of aesthetic risks that seem too much for The Pokemon Company to take on its standard releases, and we love seeing that. This time around, we especially like the powerful looks of Zeraora, Joltik, and Galvantula, as well as Gulpin eating a whole pie.
Gameplay-wise, we really like the new game. Raging Lightning card. The one-hitters really shine when they have no limits, dealing damage with each additional energy until they can take down the biggest enemies.
