Preview: Infinity Nikki is a Great Fashion Adventure

Nikki Infinity is, in the best sense, every teenage girl’s dream. It’s a fashion-oriented open-world RPG with lots of exploration and a rich storyline set in a breathtaking world. While there are some rough edges in the current build, it’s hard to say how much of that lies in its demanding graphics.

The story of Nikki Infinity follows a girl named Nikki who is pulled through a closet into a parallel world by a mysterious red dress. She meets a goddess wearing a fashionable eye patch who gives Nikki the Infinity Heart. This gives Nikki the power of a Stylist, but before the goddess can explain anything, enemies attack them. The goddess saves Nikki and takes her to Miraland, a fantasy world of fashion and dreams.

Nikki and Momo (a strange pet cat) adapt very quickly to life in Miraland. However, while Miraland look like a fantasy world at first glance, they soon learn of a mysterious coma-inducing disease that is raging across the land. Thanks to her Infinity Heart, she is able to establish herself in Miraland and figure out what is causing people to fall into coma. It’s really a lot to take in at once, especially since it doesn’t take long for Nikki to start acting as if she’s always been a part of Miraland. I wonder if you’re supposed to be familiar with the general lore from before Nikki shines And Love Nikki.

Let me be clear: whenever I mention graphics or performance, I have to add the caveat that my gaming laptop is about five years old. It also has an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card inside. Nikki Infinity runs on Unreal Engine 5 and its default setting when it comes to FPS is “unlimited”, which confuses me a bit because that seems a bit crazy. My computer cannot handling this game. It keeps stuttering and I suspect I’m not seeing the true beauty of the models and backgrounds.

Normally, I would stop there. But this game seems to be aimed at around thirteen or fourteen years old. That’s not bad, but its rather demanding specs leave me a little confused. Growing up, my dad could be stingy when it came to entertainment. The laptop I used throughout my childhood and teenage years actually had less storage than my friend’s iPod and could barely handle it. Sims 2 Game.

If I were a kid today, playing this game on the computer my dad bought me, I’m pretty sure my device would explode. I was so scared when I played it Nikki Infinity during the day. My apartment is incredibly hot during the day and I’m really worried that my laptop will burn out. But the game seems to want a legitimate gaming PC to run normally and I’m not sure if that’s friendly to the general public.

Only one much to do in Nikki Infinity. In addition to playing through the storyline, you can fight enemies, dress up Nikki, and explore every corner of Miraland. You can also collect various currencies such as Whimstars and Blings. Whimstars in particular often require you to complete a mini-challenge before you can receive them. Examples of challenges include finding a star in a certain area or parkouring across platforms to reach a Whimstar. You can use Whimstars to unlock nodes in your Heart of Infinity, which can improve Nikki’s stats, and unlock special outfits after completing the required tasks. These special outfits are outfits that give Nikki access to certain actions in the outside world. For example, one outfit allows her to shoot cleansing orbs, and another allows her to catch insects (which are needed to craft certain clothing items).

The game becomes infinitely more interesting when you unlock the ability to complete NPC requests and challenges to dress Nikki based on a certain set of criteria. Most of the time, you just have to dress Nikki in a certain style. But there is still a certain degree of freedom when it comes to expressing your personal preferences. In addition to these instructions, you can always change Nikki’s appearance in the outside world. Since you unlock items through gacha, using the in-game currency you can collect, you can accumulate a large amount of clothes and accessories in a short time.

However, this is still a beta build and it’s easy to see. There are some technical difficulties, such as out-of-sync audio during a cutscene. Nikki herself can be difficult to control, especially in combat. Encounters in this game tend to have multiple enemies surrounding Nikki, but she can only really attack in a single direction. She also needs to be manually directed to face that direction first, and that extra input can start to get annoying at times. There’s no that thing Many enemies that you have to deal with in Nikki InfinityLuckily, but when you do have to face them, the battles are definitely one of the worst parts of the game.

Nikki Infinity is a promising, stylish and fun RPG, although it can be very demanding on your system. The voice instructions and menus make it seem like it’s for kids, but there’s a lot of general appeal in it through exploring the open world and creating characters. Hopefully when the game comes out I’ll have a much better computer so I can fully appreciate the beauty of this game.

Nikki Infinity To be in development for PS5, Windows PC, and mobile. Windows PC version previewed.
