Prince Harry addresses divorce rumors surrounding him and Meghan Markle
According to Page SixHarry appeared at The New York Times’ 2024 DealBook Summit on Wednesday, December 4. During his time on stage, Harry was asked about the “passion” surrounding him and his wife every who appeared solo in recent events.
“’Why do you organize independent events? Why don’t you do them together?’” the host asked him, seemingly referring to the online chat.
In response, Harry initially shared a humorous response.
“Because you invited me, you should have known… You should have known that was going to happen,” he said.
At the time, the host asked Harry if it felt “normal” now that there was consistent speculation about his marriage. Additionally, the host asked whether public interest “seems like a good thing.”
“That’s definitely not a good thing. Because obviously we bought or moved house[s] maybe 10 or 12 times. And it seems like we’ve also been divorced about 10 or 12 times. So it was like, ‘What?’ So yeah, it’s hard to keep up but that’s why you keep ignoring it,” Harry replied.
Finally, Harry shared that the people he feels “most sorry for are the trolls”.
“The people I feel most sorry for are the trolls, the people whose hopes just keep building and building and building like ‘Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes,’ and then it that doesn’t happen. So I feel sorry for them, I really do, I mean it,” he said.

This is why divorce rumors started
According to the source, Harry’s comments about divorce rumors surrounding him and Markle came after the couple were spotted solo at various events in recent weeks. In October, Markle reportedly went to LA Gala Children’s Hospital alone. Then, a week later, it was announced that Prince Harry would host a charity event on December 10 without his wife.
On November 14, Markle was also spotted solo while attending the launch of a friend’s hair care line. Then, on Wednesday, December 4, Markle was also spotted with Tyler Perry at the 2024 Paley Honors Fall Gala, per Page Six.
The prince also shared about life in America with Meghan Markle
According to US WeeklyPrince Harry also opened up about living in America with Markle and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
“I like to live [in the U.S.] and bringing my kids here, it’s a part of life that I never thought I would live and it feels like it’s the life my mother wanted for me,” he explained.
