Queen Camilla mourns the death of her beloved rescue dog, Beth
Both Beth and Bluebell have joined Her Majesty at various functions over the years, including official portraits and photo sessions, as well as the unveiling of a plaque marking the opening of the new kennel at home to Battersea Dogs and Cats in 2020. Camilla has always been a dog lover and is especially a fan of the Jack Russell breed. In an interview with Radio Five Live, she told the presenter Emma Barnett“The cool thing about dogs is you can sit them down, you can have a long conversation, you can be cranky, you can be sad and they just sit and watch you wag their tail.”
Battersea Dogs and Cats Home also paid tribute to Beth on Monday. “We are very sad to hear that Beth, the Queen’s rescue dog, has passed away. Her Majesty, our Patron, brought Beth home from Battersea in 2011 and we have many fond memories of Beth visiting our centers over the years. Our thoughts are with Your Majesty at this time,” they wrote on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter).
