Rabbit & Bear Studios says Eiyuden Chronicle DLC is on the way


During a large-scale year-end interview round with many Japanese game developers, Famitsu spoke with several members of Eiyuden Chronicles Rabbit & Bear Studios development team. Character designer Junko Kawano, director Osamu Komuta and producer Junichi Murakami all spoke to the publication about their aspirations and goals for 2025. Spiritual successor of Suikoden series, Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes was finally released in 2024 after a few delays. With design directed by the late Yoshitaka Murayama and a team Suikoden veteran, the game sought to scratch the itch for another game in a long-dormant RPG series. It debuted on quite an error state on several platforms, but Rabbit & Bear Studios has released several updates to address the biggest issues.

Character designer Kawano briefly mentioned the challenges of using a crowdfunding model, thanked players for their support, and said that DLC for the game is ready. She also mentioned that she is looking forward to the upcoming remasters Suikoden I & IIand I think that’s something we can all relate to. Director Komuta talks about his ambitions with Rabbit & Bear Studio and Eiyuden Chronicles. According to him, the last three DLC scenarios written by Murayama have been completed and are awaiting release. He also issued an apology for being late with some rewards for his supporters.

Producer Murakami talked about the big events of 2024 for him, including saying goodbye to his friend and the release of the film. Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes. He feels that he has not completely achieved his goal but he will apply what he has learned next time. He also apologized for not fulfilling some of his supporters’ promises, but said he would make them his top priority.
