Random: Sakurai shows off his LEGO NES
When he’s not making games or filming videos about game design, Masahiro Sakurai enjoys entertaining himself in a variety of ways.
In his latest social media post, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate The director revealed a LEGO set he received for his 54th birthday earlier this week. It wasn’t any old Lego set at all – it was a Lego NES! In a follow-up post, he chose to highlight the secret underground level hidden inside this build.
If you’re curious to know more about this particular Lego set, it was released in 2020 for £209.99 / $229.99 and is packed with all sorts of fun and realistic details – including an opening slot for the Game Pak, as well as a controller and Lego versions of the Super Mario Bros. cartridge box.
There will be more Nintendo-themed Legos in the future, including new Mario & Yoshi Super Mario World build.
