Red Dead Redemption PC may be on the way

A PC release of Red Dead Redemption may have been revealed, thanks to an unlikely source. The game’s PlayStation Store listing has briefly shown some additional text that mentions the PC version of the title. [Thanks, @Wario64!]

Changes to Red Dead Redemption The listing states that the game is “now available on PC for the first time ever,” despite no official announcement of this release. This is also notable for being on PSN, despite it not being a PC store, and because the PS4 version of the game has been out for nearly a year.

While the description is similar to the standard PSN listing for Red Dead RedemptionThere have been mentions of PC-specific features. These include enhanced options for higher resolutions and frame rates, alternative display options, and spatial surround sound. Screenshots circulated on social media after the initial description was noticed, although this new description has since been has returned to its original state from 2023.

A much anticipated PC release Red Dead Redemption. Although the game has been a critical and commercial success since its initial release in 2010, the game remains a console exclusive. The game was originally released for the PS3 and Xbox 360, with re-release in 2023 for PS4 and Nintendo Switch. Its sequel, Red Dead Redemption 2released on Steam and the now-defunct Stadia streaming service.

Red Dead Redemption Available now on PS4 and Nintendo Switch. A PC version may be in development.
