Reliance Jio updates Rs 349 prepaid plan, extends validity to 30 days – All details


Reliance Jio has updated its Rs 349 prepaid plan, marking a notable change in its telecom offerings. The change comes soon after the company had earlier increased the prices of several prepaid and postpaid daily, monthly and annual plans. The company said the revision of the Rs 349 plan, renamed Hero 5G, was in response to customer feedback.

Details of Reliance Jio’s revised plan

The updated Rs 349 prepaid plan now offers users a validity of 30 days, up from the previous validity of 28 days. Despite this extension, the daily data allowance remains at 2GB per day, unchanged from the previous offer. With the increased validity, the total data available over the course of the plan has increased to 60GB, up from the previous total of 56GB. Users in areas where Jio has rolled out True 5G services will continue to enjoy unlimited 5G internet access under this plan.

Recent price increases on packages

The revision is part of a broader trend of price revisions by Reliance Jio. Last month, the company had increased the prices of several other prepaid and postpaid plans. For example, the Rs 209 monthly recharge plan, which offers 1GB of data per day, was increased to Rs 249. Similarly, the Rs 666 prepaid plan, which offers 1.5GB of data per day for a period of 84 days, saw its price hiked to Rs 799. Additionally, the Rs 2,999 annual prepaid plan with 2.5GB of data per day was increased to Rs 3,599. The 1GB add-on data plan also saw its price hiked from Rs 15 to Rs 19, while the Rs 25 and Rs 61 plans were revised to Rs 29 and Rs 69, respectively. Postpaid users also saw a price hike, with the cost of 30GB data going up from Rs 299 to Rs 349.
