Season 3 of the killing game Jujutsu Kaisen will be the best yet
Jujutsu Kaisen is one of the most famous and best anime series in recent times. This is definitely the next shounen to win the title of best from the likes of Demon slayer And My Hero Academy. While Season 2 is exceptional and a huge improvement over the first season, the best is yet to come. Jujutsu Kaisen Adaptation of Season 3 of The Killing Game.
The longest story arc of the entire series is almost here. There are a number of shorter arcs that will need attention first in Season 3, but the star of the show will be the appearance of the Kill Game Arc. I won’t reveal too much here, but There are some slight spoilers up front. As the name suggests, this is almost a royal battle of witch jujutsu. If you like dragon ball super product Tournament of Power, this is for you.
It combines some of my favorite themes together at once. You’ll get the usual action and excellent art that this series is known for. On top of that, though, you get a healthy dose of deathmatch, which is my favorite media genre in general. Of course, that’s if fans can get past the rough parts of the first few episodes.
The highs of Season 2 will lead to some new lows at the start of the new season. The few shorter arcs following the Shibuya incident are forgettable at best. This is mainly because they are there to set up the final installment of this beloved series. But if you can get past these weaker episodes, Season 3 will likely be the best season yet.
Some of the best battles in the series ever happened in the Kill Game Arc. Some fan-favorite characters face off against each other in shocking ways. I really appreciated the structure of this one, splitting the main cast across different locations. This allows the death game to feel more focused than it would otherwise.
However, this certainly means you probably won’t see some characters. This is especially noticeable in the manga, as it lasts a bit longer than it should. This is why Vs. Mahito Arc is still my favorite series because it achieved so much in such a short time. That said, I think the Kill Game Arc would work much better in anime form. The pacing will be much stronger and faster than the original manga version. It also helps that a consistent weekly release schedule will keep fans interested.
One factor can be inhibitory Jujutsu Kaisen Part 3 is MAPPA. Part 2 had some exceptional animation, but the studio also revealed some visual flaws at the end. I’m concerned about the animators’ workload and the stress placed on them. If Season 3 comes out in 2025, as I expect, that’s a pretty quick turnaround. I’m a little worried whether the animation quality will get the attention that the Kill Game Arc deserves.
That said, if Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 found a way to balance a healthy work schedule with quality, this will easily be the best season yet. Without revealing too much, I even think it will be better than the inevitable final installment of the series that follows. There are a lot of things happening in this season that will shake the anime community to its core. Even with those who like My Hero Academy final season and Demon slayer Final trilogy moving forward to 2025, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 can still stand up to them and be the best of the series, if done right.
Jujutsu Kaisen is now streaming Crunchyroll.
