According to Fox NewsCarter made the announcement on Monday, August 12, via Xformerly known as Twitter. Carter opened her statement by sharing her gratitude for those who have shown her family “outpouring love and support” since her mother’s death.
Continuing her statement, Carter revealed that “many community leaders and democracy advocates” had asked her to “consider completing” her mother’s essay. “term this year by participating in the Special Election on November 5.”
“After consideration, the answer is YES,” Carter added.
Carter ended his message with the sentence: “Together, we will complete the mission for my mother, Mrs. Sheila Jackson.”
