Shenseea Delivers Beryl Packages After Hurricanes in Jamaica

Shenseea Gives Back To Jamaica

Shenseea landed in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica to assist those severely affected by Hurricane Beryl.

Based on AP NewsHurricane Beryl made landfall in Jamaica on July 3 with damaging winds and heavy rains, causing significant damage across the southeastern Caribbean.

On Saturday, July 6, Shenseea posted a photo and video collection Instagram, showing her distributing care packages and relief supplies to Jamaicans. The footage shows the dancehall singer on the island with her son Rajeiro. Other photos show her posing with police and handing out items to community members.

“My last 48 hours have been so fulfilling as I prepared and distributed care & relief packages to my home parish that was severely impacted by #HurricaneBeryl. I am so grateful to God for putting me in a position to care for my people! •Thank you so much to my team @romeichentainment for making this vision happen..Always!” Shenseea captioned the post.

Jamaica was hit by a powerful Category 4 storm that left at least seven people dead, AP News reported. The news agency also reported that Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness said nearly 500 people had been taken to shelters.

By the evening of July 3, Holness had clarified that the island was not yet past the worst.

“We can do everything we can, as far as we are humanly capable, and we leave the rest in God’s hands,” said Holness.

Hurricane Beryl, currently active in the Gulf of Mexico, is a long-lived tropical storm. It is the second named storm, the first hurricane, and the first major hurricane of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season. It is also the earliest recorded Category 5 Atlantic hurricane. Along with Jamaica, other affected areas include Puerto Rico, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Windward Islands.
