Shiragane Maid Club visual novel launches in 40 languages
CyberStep has released a new visual novel titled Doki Doki Maid-Bu in Japanese and Shiragane Maid Club in English. The new title boasts support for around 40 languages. However, the company has also admitted to using AI for the visual novel’s translations and illustrations.
The new visual novel is available on Nintendo Switch and PC gaming platform Steam. the Convert version lists quite a few languages that Nintendo has officially supported; In addition to the lingua franca of Western Europe (EFIGS) and East Asia (CJK), it also supports Dutch, Portuguese, and Russian.
However, it is Releases steam attracted more attention as it listed up to 40 languages including languages such as Igbo, Xhosa and Maori. However, one thing is clear about this. CyberStep’s Japanese press release revealed that this game is a part of PandaShojo brand, intends to make Japanese visual novels accessible to people around the world using automated machine translation for over 50 languages.
CyberStep was initially known for releasing online titles such as Rice balls And Universal CosmicBreak. However, in recent years, the company has more frequently released visual novels than above Steam. Previously in November 2024, it released Nurse call And Me and the gamer girl with support for 15 languages.
Translation isn’t the only activity CyberStep uses mechanical programs to publish these visual novels. The Steam pages also reveal AI-generated content, with the company admitting that it used AI to create some of the illustrations in the visual novel.
Shiragane Maid Club is now available worldwide on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
