SimplyMiles: Earn more US miles and Loyalty Points
Within American Airlines AAdvantage program, visitors often find ways to earn US miles in exchange for award flights. But many tourists are also finding ways to earn Loyalty Points towards a specific goal American Airlines elite status rank or Loyalty point reward milestone.
Luckily, US residents with a Mastercard can earn US miles and Loyalty Points on many everyday purchases through the SimplyMiles program. Here’s what you need to know.
What is SimplyMiles?
The SimplyMiles program is similar to Amex offers, Chasing incentives And Citi Merchant Offers in which you sign up for offers and receive rewards. But while you apply for a specific card for credit card merchant incentivesSimplyMiles offers allow you to pay with any linked Mastercard once you enroll in an offer.
To sign up for SimplyMiles, go to SimplyMiles website and click the “Join” link in the upper right corner. Log in to your American AAdvantage account and add at least one Mastercard to your SimplyMiles account to get started. However, I recommend adding all your Mastercards to your SimplyMiles account so you don’t miss out on earning opportunities.

Use American Airlines SimplyMiles
After signing up, visit the SimplyMiles website from time to time to check your offers. Some offers offer miles based on your spending, while others reward a certain amount when you spend a specific amount with the merchant.
While going through your offers, add any offers you want to use to your account by clicking “Activate Offer”. However, some offers can only be redeemed online or in-store, while others require you to click through a specific link or are only valid for specific purchases. So be sure to read the terms of each offer before making a purchase.
I often receive offers ranging from food delivery services to wine services and technology companies. You’ll see all the offers you’ve activated near the bottom of the screen.
Typically, you’ll earn AAdvantage miles and Loyalty Points when you make qualifying purchases with cards you’ve added to your SimplyMiles account; However, some offers may only offer bonus miles or Loyalty Points. Then, each time you make a qualifying purchase, you will receive an email with the subject line “Thank you for using the SimplyMiles offer”.

You can also check your earnings by clicking “My Activity” near the top of the site. Once the page loads, scroll down to the “Activity Details” section and expand “SimplyMiles Transaction History” to see your recent earnings.
Miles will typically appear in your account within 10 to 15 business days of your purchase. However, sometimes it can take up to 30 business days to post your earnings.

Accumulate your earnings
Earning American Airlines miles and Loyalty Points through the SimplyMiles program is great. The terms and conditions state: “Offers cannot be combined or stacked with offers from other programs.” However, incentives can still sometimes stack.
For example, you can combine all of the following earning methods into one purchase made with the Mastercard for which you are registered with SimplyMiles:
- Simply Miles
- Shopping portal rewards
- Credit card rewards
Of course, for this trio to work, sellers need to join SimplyMiles (no specific link required) and the shopping portal. For example, let’s say I want to buy some accessories from Dell Technologies.
Currently, the SimplyMiles portal will give me 2 miles and 2 Loyalty Points per dollar for up to three purchases with Dell Technologies using a linked Mastercard. However, you cannot earn more than 3,485 miles and 3,485 Loyalty Points through this SimplyMiles offer.
I could use a subscription Citi AAdvantage Card to earn 1 mile per dollar on my Dell Technologies purchases. And AAdvantage electronic shopping portal would give me 3.5 miles per dollar for Dell Technologies accessories.
You can also try stacking one Citi Merchant Offers agree. However, you can no longer stack most SimplyMiles offers with most Citi Merchant Offers. For example, you often see merchants disappear from SimplyMiles when you sign up for Citi Merchant Offers. And if you add a SimplyMiles offer to your account before signing up for Citi Merchant Offers, your SimplyMiles merchant offer will typically be removed. So you may want to avoid enrolling in conflicting Citi Merchant Offers if you want to earn through SimplyMiles.

There’s no shortage of ways to earn AAdvantage miles and Loyalty Points. From AAdvantage electronic shopping portal ARRIVE American Airlines credit cardyou don’t have to fly frequently to earn American Airlines miles and status.
The SimplyMiles program is a great tool if you want to earn extra miles and Loyalty Points when you shop. From gas stations to clothing and luggage delivery services, you’ll find a variety of merchants on the SimplyMiles website. However, offers are regularly added, so you’ll want to check for new offers weekly to maximize your earnings.
