Retro fighter plane SNK vs Capcom SVC Chaos This week received a new update that adds feature improvements and bug fixes.

This includes some useful new additions as well as fixes and tweaks that should address “rare crashes” and a few other issues. Here are the full patch notes, courtesy of Code Mystics on social media:

“We’re excited to announce the #SVCChaos patch 1.02, previously released on Steam and GOG, is now also available on PS4 and Switch. Full console patch notes below.”

One fan also asked if this update will be included in the upcoming physical release, but according to the source “that’s a question only the publisher can answer.

Feature

  • Options > Game > Hitbox now has a “Practice” setting, where the hitbox will only be enabled in Practice Mode
  • Infinite continues in single-player arcade mode
  • Character selection time increased to 30 seconds
  • Will now fall back to attract mode if inactive on title splash screen
  • The pre-match dialogue was slow
  • Added unlockable endings to the Library

Bug fix

  • Fixed scaling of scanlines in STRETCH mode
  • Resolved rare crashes due to observing challenges and using the Quick Library
  • Fixed reporting of Draw/Timeout games in the online win/loss spreadsheet
  • Edit color of hitbox

While this crossover game admittedly isn’t rated highly on Nintendo Life, it’s still an interesting piece of fighting game history. This update also follows on from the update to the recent release Marvel vs Capcom fighting collection earlier this week.
