Sonic, Tails and Knuckles get the Stop-Motion treatment in this new holiday movie ad
We’re almost halfway through December, so do you know what’s coming our way? That’s right, it’s almost time Christmas day Sonic the Hedgehog 3out in theaters!
Before the blue blur appeared on the big screen for the third time since December 20Paramount Pictures is filling the holiday season with holiday-related programming, including the above ad, ‘A Very Sonic Christmas’.
This seasonal short (and it’s actually a two-minute short) sees Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles forced to save Christmas after Santa injures his ankle. Sure, it’s sweet enough and we fear that the original song playing in the background will be stuck in our heads for the rest of the day, but reality The gift here is how it’s all animated like a classic Rankin/Bass movie. Stop moving Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer-meet-Sonic? Oh, keep going.
As if that wasn’t enough holiday cheer, Paramount has also released a series of new ‘Sonic 3’ posters inspired by classic Christmas movie designs. And finally (Final) Paramount also announced that they will be giving away an ‘Ugly Sweater’ special just in time for Christmas. Although the giveaway has now ended, the studio has shared the following video introducing the sweater to all *Um* glory. Honestly, it’s probably for the best that we missed this one.
