Is this really the ‘Year of Darkness’? Before the release of Sonic
This is evident in the first episode of Sonic x Shadow Generations: Dark Begininngs, an animated short that tells the story of Shadow’s tragic past. This short trailer introduces the relationship between Shadow and his childhood friend, Maria.
It starts off a bit positive, but things quickly turn chaotic when Shadow confronts a robot who appears to be after Professor Gerald Robotnik. Things get a bit odd at this point before cutting to ‘present day’, in which we see Shadow pondering Robotnik’s viability before starting to search for ‘answers’.
One more episode is coming before the game, so if you want to update the story, be sure to take note of the following:
