Sonic X Shadow Generations ‘Sonic 3 Movie Pack’ Adds Keanu Reeves
Original story: Sega’s latest Sonic Central has been sharing all kinds of updatesincluding a look at the story in the upcoming release Sonic X Dark Generation. However, it didn’t end there as Sony’s ‘State of Play’ broadcast shared a bit more information.
In case you missed it, Sega announced there will be some special Sonic 3 movie content coming later this year. December 12, 2024. Most notably, Keanu Reeves will appear in a special update where he voices Shadow. This ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie pack’ is inspired by scenes from the third live-action film.
This same ‘Movie Pack’ is included in the deluxe digital version of the game, which will be released on October 25. Here’s a bit more information about this special movie pack from PR:
“On December 12th, all SONIC X GENERATIONS Digital Deluxe owners can don the new look as Shadow and play through a unique level inspired by the new movie, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, with the voice of Keanu Reeves”
Sonic series producer Shun Nakamura also shared some details on the PlayStation Blog:
“This content will not have a story directly related to the movie. Rather, as you can see in the trailer, it will be set in Tokyo, which Shadow visits in the movie.”

As for the movie Sonic 3, it will be released in theaters after this date December 20, 2024. Sega also revealed a new story trailer for Sonic X Shadow Generations during the broadcast, which introduces more returning characters.
