Spark The Electric Jester 3 is a fast-paced indie platformer coming to Switch this month
FreakZone Games has announced Popular high-speed indie platformer Spark the Electric Jester 3 will launch on Nintendo Switch on July 25 in North America and August 1 in Europe and Australia.
Inspired by the Sonic Adventure games, Spark the Electric Jester 3 sees the titular hero return in a starring role. The game launches on Steam in 2022, and just reading through the reader reviews is enough to get us excited. “This is basically the Sonic Adventure 3 we never got,” said one fan, while another said it was “everything I wanted from a 3D Sonic game.” That’s high praise.
The Spark series began in 2017 with Spark the electric clown on Steam, a 2D platformer. The first game in the series is available only on PC, with Spark the Electric Jester 2 on both PC and Xbox.
The leader character was inspired by the power in the Sonic fan game created by Felipe Daneluz (aka LakeFeperd) in 2013 — Sonic After The SequelIn that game, Sonic can get a power similar to Kirby’s Beam power, and it makes the blue blur look like a clown.
Daneluz is the sole developer of the series, and the third game looks like it could be his greatest achievement. We’ll have to check this one out with all the buzz surrounding it.
