Spin-off anime Gintama 3-Nen Z-Gumi Ginpachi-Sensei will premiere in October
Bandai Namco’s photo announced upcoming Gintama spin-off anime series titled 3-nen Z-gumi Ginpachi-senseiTo be prepare to broadcast on TV Tokyo in October 2025. This new series is based on the side novel written by Tomohito Osaki and was originally created by Hideaki Sorachi. The film stars Sakata Gintaro as the eccentric homeroom teacher of a chaotic class of third-year students known as “Class Z”.
Trailer for 3-nen Z-gumi Ginpachi-sensei The anime’s subplots include typical self-referential humor Gintama. Gintoki opened by teasing the long wait: “Today, the PV was finally released! I wonder what we’ll look like moving around.” Amid jokes about Gintoki and Kagura having trouble pronouncing the “Z” and “3” in the show’s name, the trailer also showcases production footage of the anime. The video ends with a teaser for Jump Festa 2025 in December 2024, with Gintoki jokingly shifting responsibility to the production committee “which just puts the whole thing on us”.

In related news, Seiko has launched one limited edition Gintama watchreleased on May 5, 2024 and priced at 44,000 JPY (approximately $284 USD). The watch has a design inspired by Gintoki’s kimono model and various character images on the watch face.
3-Nen Z-Gumi Ginpachi-sensei is scheduled to open in October 2025. Original cartoon is streaming on Crunchyroll and the manga is handled by Viz Media outside of Japan.
