Switch Online Exclusive F-Zero 99 Updated to Version 1.4.0, Here Are the Full Patch Notes

Nintendo Switch Online Exclusive F-Zero 99 has received a new update, bringing the game to Version 1.4.0.

This new update comes with new festival events (including festival-themed versions of tracks), a dedicated leaderboard event, AI-controlled races called “Star Rivals,” gameplay tweaks, and more according to Nintendo.

Also, here’s the emoticon update – adding emoticons to the game. When you hold L or R, then press one of the main buttons before a race starts, you’ll be able to share an emoticon. Here are the full patch notes from Nintendo’s support page:

Other adjustments and changes

  • Increases the skill rating of players with S-S50 skills when they defeat Opponents.
  • Added change to Bumpers appearance style.
  • Due to changes in Team Battle rules, the condition for receiving the Team Battle badge has been changed to “Finish in the top 3 teams in Team Battle 20 times” (and 50 and 99 times thereafter).
    • The number of times you placed 1st in previous Team Battles will be saved and after this update is applied, the number of times you placed 1st to 3rd will be added.
  • The badge that can be obtained when performing Double KO has been changed to a hidden badge.
  • Lucky Ranks reset time has been changed to 5pm (PDT).

  • Fixed issues to provide a more enjoyable gaming experience.
